Associate Product Manager

Fareportal is hiring a highly talented and motivated Associate Product Manager. This position will drive innovation by leading teams across product, design and engineering for Fareportal's brand. You will be responsible for not only developing industry leading ideas, but also working cross functionally to turn these ideas into live products which will be used by millions of travelers. You and your team will be responsible for crafting the vision, defining and defending a product roadmap, and driving that roadmap from business requirements through post-launch analytical analysis to determine if success metrics are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee & manage the product backlog, product features & goals & objectives: Manage the status of projects of all team members, understand operations requirement, top management priority & development feasibility.
  • Working on special projects as when they are assigned by the Manager or Head of Department.
  • Prepare process flows, product logics & mockups.
  • Work in collaboration with multiple teams to deliver projects/products: Working closely with the developers & QA teams to ensure successful deployment of projects/product features.
  • You will work closely with the designers, content writers to build an effective product along with the business & product  Analysts to complete the necessary requirements.
  • Drive results: Creating product flows that leverage best practices and ensures agents successfully adopt the products.
  • Validate projects and products after development to ensure they meet all operational and business requirements.
  • Product testing, Monitor products’ automation, trouble shooting, identify gaps & enhance the products.
  • Provide metrics data & reporting to the product performance.
  • Good communication: You will act as a product/GDS SME.
  • Prepare presentations and training manuals as per audience. Ability to display the project progression in numbers/graphs.
  • You should be able to provide your expert advises to other BA’s and vice versa".
  • People Management: Driving & motivating the team. Fostering an ethical work culture, driving employee satisfaction.
  • Creating career path for team members, enforce policies & procedures (company & departmental), day to day management of the team.

Requirements:

  • 5 years+ experience in Travel Industry, specifically in Air &/or Online automation tools.
  • Working knowledge of GDS scripting tool.
  • Minimum 1+ year people leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to details.
  • Ability to think out of the box & creatively solving problems.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills (verbal/written).
  • Ability to work on multiple projects under pressure.
  • Good leadership & people management.
  • Good knowledge of MS Word / MS Excel /MS Power point/Visio/Paint/Pencil.
