Enterprise Architect

The Enterprise Architect will work with business stakeholders, both leadership and subject matter experts, to build the organization's infrastructure strategy, policies/processes, information (data), and information technology assets. The role of the Enterprise Infrastructure Architect is to take this knowledge and continually ensure that the business and IT are in alignment. It’s important that he/she will link the business mission, strategy, and policies/processes to its IT strategy. 



  • Alignment of IT strategy and planning with company's business goals, both near and long-term.
  • Optimization of the company’s IT infrastructure through an understanding of evolving business needs and technology capabilities.
  • Strategic responsibility for the company's IT systems, ensuring it is aligned with the company’s Chief Technology Officer and his teams’ products/applications roadmap.
  • Identifies and recommends areas appropriate for further study and participates in any Proof of Concept (POC) projects required to thoroughly investigate architectural possibilities and strengthen arguments for their adoption, ensuring that these new solutions will meet particular technical requirements and business needs.
  • Promotion of shared infrastructure, tools and/or applications to reduce costs and improve information flow.
  • That IT projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business and IT strategies.
  • Partnering with the company’s security group to ensure risk management of information and IT assets through appropriate standards and security policies.
  • Direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the enterprise.
  • Building employee knowledge and skills in specific areas of expertise.
  • That the company’s growth is never constrained by the company’s technology environment.


  • Knowledge or grasp of the business for which the enterprise infrastructure architecture is being developed.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cloud, hardware, software, application, and systems engineering.
  • Knowledge of IT governance and operations
  • Knowledge of financial modeling/budgets as it pertains to IT investment and development of relevant business cases
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand
  • Project and program management planning and organizational skills
  • Minimum 10 - 15 years of IT leadership exMaster’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience in designing and implementing complex infrastructure environments, both internal and cloud based.
  • Proven track record in leading organizations that manage the technology infrastructure, business information security and application management and support for a large corporation
  • Experience in program and project management with project budget oversight of $10-20m+ annually;
  • Proven experience with ITIL-like standards and/or best-practice frameworks.
